Die Casting / Vacuum Casting

Aluminum / Zinc Alloy Die Casting + Silicone Mold Vacuum Casting, 1-50 pieces low-volume validation, no injection mold tooling cost.

Vacuum Casting (Silicone Mold)

Using a master model made by 3D printing or CNC machining to create a silicone mold, then casting PU resin under vacuum. One set of silicone mold can replicate 15-20 pieces, with a mold-making lead time of only 5-7 days. It is the best validation solution before transitioning to injection molding mass production.

  • Quantity: 1-50 pieces per silicone mold set
  • Lead Time: 5-7 working days
  • Materials: ABS-like / PC / PP / TPU soft rubber / Transparent hard plastic / Silicone-like
  • Color: Customizable to any RAL / Pantone, integral coloring or painting

Die Casting (Metal Casting)

Molten metal is injected into a steel mold under high pressure, then cooled to produce metal parts with smooth surfaces and precise dimensions. Suitable for high-volume metal parts such as phone mid-frames, automotive structural parts, and mechanical housings.

  • Alloys: ADC12 / A380 aluminum alloy, Zamak 3/5 zinc alloy, AM50 magnesium alloy
  • Die Casting Machines: 280T – 1600T cold chamber die casting machines
  • Precision: CT5-CT7 grade, complex parts can be formed in one shot
  • Post-Processing: CNC finishing of mating surfaces, polishing, anodizing, powder coating, electroplating

When to Choose Which

  • 1-50 pieces appearance validation, plastic pre-production → Choose Vacuum Casting (Silicone Mold)
  • 1,000-100,000 pieces metal housing mass production → Choose Die Casting
  • Low budget / Urgent samples needed → Vacuum Casting (costs only 1/10 of injection mold tooling)
  • Need metal strength → Die Casting or CNC (CNC suitable for 1-100 pieces)
